the rope

out on the drag

Today’s drag coefficient is six. My two dogs have been out a total of three times today, have had only one meal each, and have played a total of 40 minutes. I spend my day in five meetings. Four were planned. I spoke in two of them. 0ne course is approved for Pluralsight and the contract comes tomorrow two others are pending and the contracts will be here at the end of the week. Overtime, more green, and catching up.

Tonight I shot 138 frames on my Canon 60 mark two all in black-and-white all using the zone system all of nature and people around Lake Erie. People were looking at me oddly while I squatted and took light measurements. My subject matter was every day trees and leaves shadows water the city of Cleveland in the background, strong close subjects with faded out of focus subjects in the background.

I’m sitting in the car at Blank Canvas the old location for American Greetings creative Studios there’s a sign and neon above the front door that says your art sucks. It’s dusk less than an hour until my daughter comes out. Smiling she always smiles rarely do I see a frown.

I spent an hour and a half in Lakewood Park and no time on my laptop this evening. A total of two hours in the car back-and-forth the same amount it will take me to drive to Columbus tomorrow. I ate fried chicken and french fries with a Sprite in the front seat of my car, dripping dipping sauce on the passenger side it almost got on my camera as it uploaded images to my phone with only less than $20 in my wallet now after buying the chicken and eating up gas today from my earlier fill up of $40, I’ll ask Tina for another 20. Clara told me that she didn’t think people would be leaving early tonight from the three hour rehearsal, but I see people walking behind me coming from the front door. No guarantees that these people are here for the same reason. I debate whether or not to throw away my garbage I can almost guarantee that Clara will make a comment about me eating while I told her I had no money.

The sun is behind the trees and the ice in my Sprite are melting. I slurp from the straw only to find that I’ve hit bottom. I can only assume that my car smells like fried chicken even with the garbage removed. It’ll smell of fried chicken. I pushed the condensation covered cup through the dust bin door.
